1999.07.30    USA Rio Grande

July 30th, USPS issued the 40 cent Rio Grande definitive stamp in self-adhesive pane of 20. The 40 cents postage is suit for air mail postage to Mexico under the new rate system effective January 10, 1999. This stamp follows the 48 cents Niagara Falls definitive stamp issued on May 12, serving as the new air mail stamp series with a little plane image beside the denomination.
