Patience Lion 

The nondenominated self-adhesive presorted standard (bulk rate) definitive stamp bearing the Lion Statue issued on Nov. 9, 2000  in coil of 10,000. The stamp now sells for 10 cents. The stamp depicts Patience, one of the two male lions known as Patience and Fortitude sculpted by Edward Clark Potter and used for guarding the entrance to the New York Public Library. The lions are the library's mascots and official logo.

On Feb. 4, 2003 the stamp reissued in water-activated coil of 3000.
