The Gameplay: Gameplay, another plus for this game. These are definately the most responsive controls in any fighting game. You have complete control of your character. All this really comes in handy since you have a huge list of attacks, combos, throws, parries, and counters which all contribute to the legnth your jaw will drop and how red your thumb gets(thats a good thing, heh heh). The Dreamcast controller works fine with the game, but i still recommend the Arcade Stick for maximum control.
The Sound: Oh that sounded sweet. The 'clanks' and 'bangs' are right on and sound is very realistic. You'll hear every grunt and every swing of a weapon clear and on the spot. The Dreamcast should also be credited because of its advanced sound chip which delivers the most crisp and clear sound than on any other system.
The Modes: Soul Calibur is just loaded with modes including. But what did you expect, thats just Namco.
My Conclusion: If you can only buy one game this year, buy Shenmue. But if you buy two games this year, buy Soul Calibur :) This is the best fighting game out right now, it beats the competition in all categories. Gameplay, graphics, sound, depth, you name it. It easily replaces Tekken 3 or Virtua Fighter 3:tb as the best fighter ever.

The Graphics: This game, by far, has the best graphics you've ever seen. Behold the power of the Dreamcast people. You have to see the characters in action! When they move body parts bounce, like the womens breasts. It will keep you amazed for time to come. There's not a single blocky edge, everything is smooth as silk. The attention to detail is unparalelled. You can see the scales on Lizard Man, read the words on Mitsurugi's sleeve, and many, many more things that you'll notice yourself. Not only that but the backrounds are no longer 2D, they've been remade in great looking polygonal 3D! And this still isnt using all the Dreamcast's power. Almost hard to belive isnt it?
