*This is the newest section for my site. I will use this section to note down any changes in the site or any news about Soul Calibur.
-8/15/99:A new counter has been added! I've taken out the marquee that used to run across the screen and added a counter that counts the days until the Dreamcast launch. You can find the counter under the poll on the main page.
- 8/19/99:Software sales are in! Can you guess which game took the #1 spot? Soul Calibur! It sold 152,705 units on its first weekend. There's no doubt this game will sell over a million units.
- 8/26/99:Well sales figures are in, and they are nothing to gloat about. Soul Calibur sold 44,425 units this week with an overall total of 279,147 . I guess there is less of a chance of this game selling a million units than i thought. Also, a new poll has been added, go vote!
- 8/27/99:More player reviews have been added. I'm considering changing our name to Namco for Sega: Soul Calibur. It seems to fit better. Email me at geopersonx@hotmail.com and give me your thoughts.
- 8/29/99:Well there hasn't been much news lately, but early next week I should have the changes for the U.S version of Soul Calibur up. There is some site news though, a new section has been added. Codes! Go check it out!
- 9/01/99:Soul Calibur has slipped one spot landing at #8 in Japan. 23,554 units have been sold this week. Also, the first review for the U.S version of Soul Calibur has been printed, it was given a 10/10. The changes for the U.S version are very minor, here they are: -The Japanese voices have remained the same, but now there's an option to turn on English subtitles. -one of Voldo's outfits has had its crotch spikes removed. -The internet mode is gone. So there you have it.
- 9/02/99:Good news for you Soul Calibur fanatics! It was reported that you will be able to download data that allows you to use the character Inferno and acquire Soul Calibur wallpaper from Namco's Japanese Soul Calibur website starting September 10. You can use these features after you have completed several stages during the mission mode. For you losers(kidding, kidding) who cant complete the stages, you still get all the features. Remember this all starts September 10.
- 9/017/99:Hello again SC fans. Sorry for the lack of updates but I have been totally consumed with work, soccer, and of course, Dreamcast! I bought Sonic Adventure, Blitz 2000, and the best fighter ever made: SOUL CALIBUR. This game absolutely rocks! Tommorow I'll have reader reviews added, i'll bring back the scrolling marquee, and maybe even a forum! Now for today's news(finally), Japanese charts show Soul Calibur as the #22 best selling game this week at 247, 835 units sold total. Hey also great Dreamcast news! The number of Dreamcast's sold so far in the U.S is...*drumroll* 410,000 units!! That just topples over Sony's old pre-order record of 100,000 and Nintendo's 350,000 units sold in the same amount of time Sega has sold this many. Congratulations Sega!
- 9/27/99:U.S Dreamcast software sales are in and Soul Calibur is the #3 best selling game this week, with Final Fantasy 8 at #1 and Sonic Adventure at #2. In Japan, Soul Calibur has reached 254,321 units sold, leaving it at #22 in the top 30 games.
- 12/15/99:Sorry for not updating in a while fans, but I just havent found the motivation to do so until now. To celebrate 1 million copies of Soul Calibur sold, Namco Japan is releasing new VMU downloads on their website. This isnt for everyone though, you need the Dream Passport to access it.
