- This spectacular bird with its brightly coloured plumage and distinctive
mettalic purple crest, occurs in the southern and eastern parts of Africa.
In South Africa it is confined to the extreme eastern regions, preferring
riverine forest, evergreen thickets, woodland, dense thornveld, savanna,
parks and gardens. |
