PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 Siemens, India, 1995-1997
Executive Engineer in the Mining and Material Handling department of the 
projects division, which undertook turnkey electrical projects. Projects 
handled include a 33KV substation and material handling machines like 
stacker, reclaimer and circular blender. Responsibilities included client 
interaction, project planning, cost optimization, design, supplier 
interaction and inter-departmental coordination. 

Project Experience
Rashid Hussain Securities, Philippines, June - July 1998
Valued Mayniland Water Services Inc. (MWSI), the water utility privatized 
in 1997. This was the biggest privatization in this region. The company 
supplies water to the west zone of Metro-Manila.  

Market research, Feb - April 1998
Conducted a comprehensive UAI survey of the toothpaste market in Metro 
Manila. The objective was to study and analyze  the competitive status of 
various brands, and provide recommendations on the marketing strategies of 
each brand.

OTHER INFORMATION

 Played Cricket at the junior national level in India. 
Member of the college Table Tennis team that won the university 
championship.
Adjudged the best all-round sportsman in college for the year 1994-95.
Led the Industrial Planning Forum in college. The activities of the club 
included  organizing industrial tours, guest lectures, and various 
inter-college competitions.
