Preparation of the business strategy for the Chemical Intermediates
Division. The work involves the study of the Philippines chemical
industry & preparation of the business plan for the next five years under
the aegis of the Group-Vice President.
Alliance of Brown & Root( Haliburton Group), Itochu Ltd. &
Anglo-Philippines Ltd., May 1998-Till date.
Consultant
Financial feasibility for Bohol Cebu Water Supply Project for bulk water
supply to Cebu. The assignment included exhaustive study of structure of
the Cebu water supply market w.r.t. competing projects, govt. rules &
regulations. A critical aspect of the project was calculation of new water
tariff rate at which the project is still financially viable after the
devaluation.
Reliance Industries Ltd., India (Premier textile, petrochemical and
polymer Company), 1994-1997.
Assistant Manager
Reliance, a Global 500 firm, is the India's biggest private sector company
, with revenue of US$3.8 billion. Spearheaded the commissioning team with
ICI expatriates for safe and fast execution of US$300 million "Purified
Terephthalic Acid Plant" (ICI technology) at Hazira, Gujarat, India.
Represented the company for technical deliberations at ICI-Far Eastern
(Taiwan). Received a letter of appreciation from the President of Hazira
complex for the excellent work done during commissioning of the project.
Bayer (India) Ltd., Trainee, May-June 1993
Training at the Agro-Chemical & Rubber Chemical Division. Designed a
distillation column for methanol recovery from the waste stream so as to
reduce the load on the ETP & resulting in savings of $ 0.5 million p.a.
for the Pharma Division.
OTHER INFORMATION
· Well versed in the use of different quantitative
techniques, statistical software like SPSS, LP88, TSP, CMMS and
application programs like Excel, PowerPoint.
· Group Co-ordinator for AIM Outdoor Club. Have travelled
extensively in Philippines. Prepared the AIM Outdoor Club's Web-Site(

· Vice-President of Chemical Engineering Association (a student
body) at IIT, Bombay. Organized a seminar on
‘Petrochemicals 2000’ to discuss the trends in the petrochemical sector.
