BACKGROUND SUMMARY
Exposed to the business side of my profession (architecture).
After AIM, would want to concentrate on business development as a career
path because this is the area wherein the key drivers (marketing and
finance) for corporate success lie. Also very interested in venturing
into other industries such as investment banking, real estate, investment
management and consulting.

Assists the group in making investment decisions for the company
DBH Group of Companies - Construction Services Group, 1994-1997
Head of Business Development
Responsible for sourcing and defining new businesses and product lines
that would complement existing core businesses. Was tasked to spot
opportunities both to enhance our present businesses (batch plant
operations, heavy equipment operations and rentals, construction materials
trading) and to expand to other complemetary and synergetic businesses
(pre cast business, chemicals). Assisted in preparing feasibility studies
and business plans. Constantly communicated with developers, project
managers, general contractors, and potential joint venture partners. In
charge of formulating and implementing marketing strategies and schemes.
Regular member of the operations committee (OPCOM). The Opcom is tasked to
develop solutions to present cross-departmental problems and to spot
potential opportunity or problem areas.

(CORFIN) manual and if need be suggest appropriate changes and additions.
