 Work Experience
(01/99-present) Research Assistant, Dept. of Chemical Engineering, University of Cincinnati.
Presently working on a research project titled “ Membrane Reactor studies to treat acid mine drainage using sulfur-reducing bacteria”.

(01/97-08/98) Research Assistant, Dept of Civil Engineering, Texas Tech University.
Worked on a research project titled “ Effect of additives on the production of volatile fatty acids in anaerobic digestion”. Project involved experimental laboratory work like gas chromatography, mathematical modeling, solids analysis, wastewater analysis.

(08/95-08/96) Design Engineer, Alfa Laval, India.
Worked as a thermal design engineer in the multinational company Alfa Laval. Main task was to design the plate heat exchangers. Also involved in the troubleshooting and providing technical support to customers.

(05/ 95- 07/95) Junior Research Fellow, Air Pollution Control Division, NEERI, Nagpur, India.
Assisted a diverse team of researchers in the substrate development and thermal design of a Catalytic Converter for automobile exhaust systems.

(08/93- 10/93) Summer Intern, Bhilai Steel Plant, India.
Worked as an intern in the Coke ovens and Coal Chemicals Division. Performed efficiency tests for gas cleaning equipment like electrostatic precipitators, gas absorbers.
