Three Step Policy To Prevent Homelessness
(Homeless People's Congress, San Francisco)

  • We must ensure that homeless people can actively participate in the development and implementation and polices that directly or indirectly impact homeless people.
  • Eliminate temporary Band-Aid Solutions.
  • All new housing should be developed, maintained and operated by homeless people paid a living wage and available for all homeless.

Homelessness

A home implies more than a roof. It also conjures up motions of family, good personal relations, satisfactory living conditions and a place in society. Being homeless, as well as being material deprived, means to be without a place in a community. It also alienates a person from vital links to the community.

Vital Homeless Facts:

  • It is estimated that about One Billion People worldwide lack adequate housing.
  • This includes roughly 100 million who are completely homeless.

children make up the fastest growing segment of homeless Americans. In addition, many
