In 1971 I organized a partnership to purchase and operate a farm on South Pender Island At
the administrative level, I prepared the rules of governance and helped negotiate some of the
supply irrigation system pumping water from a crater lake on the islands highlands. I was
also the primary operator and adjuster of the farms heavy equipment, mowers, rakes post-hole
driller etc. I sold my interest in 1977.

Suzanne and Henry were brought in by the Board of Directors of one of
our corporate clients to try to salvage a situation of downward spiraling
profits amid life or death requests to me for larger credit lines. Together
they brought a synergy of marketing expertise, financial control and most
important of all, a way with people that coalesced employee energy and
effected a most remarkable turn around. In less than three years a pattern
of losses was reversed, and today this Companys yearly profit is over 50%
of the appraised share value (at which some lucky investors got in)
eighteen months before!

and as a case study in how to do it right.
