We welcomed Ray Blanchard to the Richmond plant in 1996, when he came to us as production manager. Now we welcome him into the position of Operations Manager. It's a fairly short road ahead for us, but not an easy one as we close the Richmond facility. Ray is up to the task, though, he's traveled that road before. He closed the plant in Columbus before coming to Richmond.A New Operations Manager
Ray began his career with Deluxe in Springfield in 1974. In 1977 he became a sales representative and worked in Maine until 1983. He then worked in Boston as assistant plant manager and production manager. In 1987 he assumed the position of plant manager in Columbus.
Ray lives in Midlothian with his wife, Laura. Their daughter, Ellen, is studying in Germany. Son David is a freshman at Virginia Tech. Ray and his family are enjoying Virginia Tech football, as are many of us football fans.
