This wasn't a good shot.  I've actually replace these with my own units that are smaller, but you can barely see in the kick panel off the floor there is mounted a tweeter and a 4" mid range, along with a 6 1/2" woofer in the door that absolutely rocks.  The sounds that come out of these six Studio Driver speakers up front and the four Studio Driver speakers in back (5 1/4" midrange and tweater in place of the factory rear speakers) are incredible!   I'm adding two more subwoofers to replace the single bandpass I have in now.

Though I don't listen to music loud, I like exceptional, clean music so I've got 75 watts per speaker set up front (150 max watts each side) and 75 watts per speaker set in the rear (150 watts max each side).  I've also got a JL Audio 8" band pass speaker in the rear driven by a 130 watt Sony amp, but I'm dumping this for 300 watts and two sealed enclosure 8" JL Audio  speakers.   While the bandpass speaker is better for drums, I like the clarity of piano and organ music that can only come through sealed speakers with lots of power.  The 8" speakers can give a punch like Mike Tyson without the loose, boomy sound of a bigger speaker.  I like really tight, accurate base.  A hard piano note should resonate and hang in the air so long you can throw your jacket on it.

As I've mentioned elsewhere, the receiver is Sony's top of the line XRC-900.  With these Studio Driver Sytem 6 and 2 speakers it has  incredibly awesome CD sound for any stereo -- in a house or a car.   I HIGHLY recommend Studio Driver speakers from Germany.  I've found that there is no better place to listen to the Eagle's "Hotel California" then my car.
