I may not always be patient

for there are times when I can spare only a brief moment,

I may not always be listening

for there are times when I will have something else on my mind,

I may not always be right

for there are times when I am mistaken,

I may not always be understanding

for there are times when I may be confused,

I may not always seem the same

for there are times when my life seems only transitory,

I may not always seem like a friend

for there are times when I may not be able to walk by your side,

I may not always seem beautiful

for at times I may be seen in a different light,

I may not always be perfect

but I'm always "me."
