Here is everything you need to get started recording and playing your own MP3's.
Download the CD Player
Even if you use a different CD Player normaly, you should use this CD Player when recording music with Wave Studio, the program below. Get to the right track, and then stop play. This will get you ready to record music.
Download Wave Studio
Then use WaveStudio to record the song off of the CD. Open a new wave file, and press the red recording button on the top of the screen. Enter in the filename for the song that you are recording. Use this format: "Artist- Song Name" (without the quotes). Check the "CD Sync"
Download MP3 Compressor
After recording the wave file, open MP3 Compressor, and compress one or more wave files into MP3 format files. Be sure to set the compressing settings on 44100Hz, Stereo, 128kb/s.
Download Winamp version 1.64
Use this to play MP3's.
