Objectives:

1) To provide a forum for a discourse on topics related to economic and business environment. The topics covered will be of interest to professionals in all area of business: finance, marketing and information systems. This forum may be addressed by professionals who may or may not have graduated from IBA..

2) To provide a platform to assist IBA alumni, who are new immigrants, integrate into the economy. This would include, guiding them with professional and career development strategies, and social and emotional support..

3) To provide a resource base for the alma mater and Pakistan, to support improvements in the economic and educational systems.

First Meeting

IBA Alumni have made their mark accross the world. And in its recognition, the IBA graduates in North America are establishing a chapter of the MBAians that will be offically linked with the Parent organization in Pakistan.

These are all in the vicinity of Shaukat's home.

The closest subway station is Lex. and 51st, which is on 4,5,6,E and F lines . To come in from CT or Westchester you would use Metro North which brings you into the Grand Central from where you can either take a cab or the subway, or even walk it if it's good weather! From N.J. and Long Island the trains come into Penn Station, from where you can catch a subway.

To answer a query, no agenda has been fixed, and we are planning to leave the meeting pretty open to socialising and letting everyone have a say in what needs to be done. So, most probably no speaches! I still need to hear from some of you who may not have checked their e-mail recently.
