Wings of Gold is a tribute and thank-you to those who have given me the tips, ideas, and encouragement that made this page possible. Over the past year as I developed my home page I often struggled to figure out how to put in background music, set up tables, cgi-scripts, Java applets, etc. I was always able to find helpers who were willing to freely give their time to give me much needed help. These are the people that make the Internet such a wonderful place. Please visit their sites - you'll enjoy them and learn a lot! Pilot's Pre-Submission Check-List

Pilots rely on various resources to keep their skills and knowledge current. They have to be current on procedures, airport changes, regulations, etc,

Your site should have well thought out, useful, and informative content.

All pilots need an excellent navigation system.

Your site should be easy to navigate.

On time arrivals are a priority for all pilots.

Your site should be relatively fast loading.

Pilots have to read a variety of charts and reports to prepare for flight departure, enroute planning, and flight arrival.

Your site should have clear,easy to read text

Pilots have to interact with a variety of resources - the tower, ground personnel, flight service stations, etc.

Your site should have a measure of interactivity so the readers can communicate with you.

Pilots can not be distracted under any circumstance. They must Aviate, Navigate, Communicate!

Your site should not have blinking, flashing text, that distract the reader from what you are communicating. This does not mean animations that contribute to the overall "feel" of the page.
