Information for AT&T Shareholders

Welcome to the AT&T Information Page

This web page allows you to download an Excel workbook that can be very helpful to current and former AT&T shareholders — especially those who held AT&T stock in 1984, at the time of the breakup of the Bell System.

The workbook consists of a set of several worksheets, each dealing with the equity changes that have taken effect for AT&T shareholders from 1958 to 1999. The worksheets cover the following:

stock splits and spin-offs starting with the 3:1 stock split on May 29, 1959
cost basis from the original AT&T shares to all the Baby Bells
cost basis for the other spin-offs
the Airtouch/Vodafone transaction
an illustrative walk-through

Note: As of Feb. 21, 2000, this workbook has not been updated to reflect the SBC/Ameritech exchange, or Vodaphone's 5:1 split in 1999. Otherwise the workbook should be complete and accurate, subject to the following notes:
