EXPERIENCE

• Created a database driven Internet advertising site using Visual Interdev. This site is free to the consumer to access and generates revenue by selling advertising space to attorneys or related lawfirms. The web pages that are displayed are 'built' using my software and the data entries of the paying customers.
• Developed own software with on-line purchasing of services, accepting credit card information and internal sales support software for manual running of credit card debiting. This system uses SSL .
• Generated Dynamic HTML from FoxPro database through CGI (using SQL). The information about each listing is contained in the database including information about where the listing should appear, for how long it should appear, contact information, etc. This reduces the overhead involved with maintaining the website and greatly reduces the frequency of changing the programs that drive it.
• Supported e-commerce, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) for encryption of confidential data.
• Responsible for installation of GE Information Systems software.
• Created an online purchasing application. This application uses the Verisign Digital Certificate for the AttorneyFind website and allows for secure transmission of confidential credit card information. The signup application allows the customer to enter their listing information, select the areas they want to advertise and preview all the information in the exact form as it would appear when it is displayed online in front of the consumer. After the client confirms the listing(s) they are considering purchasing, they are able to securely enter their credit card information and approve their order. After they submit their order with payment information, our sales representatives are able to (using my software) transfer the order directly into the database and the client goes 'online'.
• Created sales/marketing/management software tools for the sales/customer service group using FoxPro, JavaScript, HTML, and Netscape Enterprise Server Software through the use of Windows NT and Internet Information Server 3.0.
• Responsible for all services/technical aspects of AttorneyFind. These include the initial Windows NT server installation and setup, daily management, analysis of server functions regarding performance, security, capacity planning and utilization. Also responsible for the writing of ALL the application code for the site. This was divided into four logical groups:

1. Consumer application - software used by public to search for attorneys.
2. Subscriber application - software the paying subscriber uses to access/purchase listings on the site. Wrote entire application using the Verisign Digital Certificate while utilizing Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology.
3. Lawyer biography application - software used by lawyers to advertise internally to other lawyers on the site.
4. Utility application - software used by staff within AttorneyFind to manage the site and the advertising applications.

• Responsible for all graphics creation (using Adobe PhotoShop) and act as the contact for dozens of Internet companies related to the promotion of the AttorneyFind product.

• Performed Technical Representative duties to international clients and consumers. Solely responsible for explaining Internet concepts and trouble shooting customer technical problems.

• Oversaw local changes to the Sybase Database repository including diagnosing database problems, software installation, performance tuning, upgrades, etc…
• Responsible for support of existing customer base and participation in planning for new customer proposals. Worked with internal IBM teams in preparing proposals and schedules related to existing outsourcing projects and bids on future work.

• Created CGI/FOXPRO solution for online report generation.
• Participated on a team in developing standards for data to be exchange nationally across different computer platforms (Macintosh, Unix, IBM) and different database formats (FoxPro, Sybase, spreadsheet, flat file).
• Created Sequence Analysis and Management Served Over Networks (SAMSON) Internet interfaces allowing users to enter lab data via the Internet browser.
• Wrote Java application to display the data results of the mapping efforts showing the names and locations of discovered genes on the X-chromosome.

• Oversaw the FoxPro database for the Center for Genetics in Medicine.

• Converted FoxBASE for the Macintosh to FoxPro for the Macintosh.
• Created a change management system to eliminate the use of paper signature approval.

IBM Database Administrator

• Responsible for Database Administrator of IBM VM SQL/DS with backup responsibilities for Oracle. This involved the automated sharing of data between different type databases residing on different computer systems.
• Defined requirements and designs for all of F/A-18 change management forms SQL/VS.
• Responsible for System Administration of software, user accounts for multiple IBM 43xx series computers.

• Oracle DBA for Navy A12 advanced aircraft.
• Developed ADA user applications for both the SDF and STF.

• Led team of nine that designed and implemented a Common Test Language (CTL) automated test tool for use on several McAir projects using ADA in a VAX environment.
• Worked with two branches of the Defense and one internal group to arrive at common goals. This system was later patented and is still in use today.

• Evaluated advanced applications/software tools for future software engineering environments.

• Responsible for SQL/DS RDMS DBA for the F-15E Flight Control project.
• Oversaw (team of four) the support staff for the F-15E Flight Control project.
• Oversaw maintenance/enhancement to the JOVIAL compiler tool set
• Oversaw the configuration management system, creation of user interface tools and system tuning on an IBM 4361 running VM/CMS (and OS/VS1).

• Determined requirements/design of the Computer Aided Software Testing (CAST) facility. This involved the data exchange between heterogeneous computer systems utilizing TCP/IP and both batch processes and interactive programs.

• Responsible for implementing user interfaces.
• Advised others in the design of relational database tools using SQL/DS and dbase III+.
• Provided support and configuration management for the F-15E project.

• Oracle DBA for system running on VM/CMS system.
• Wrote PL/I to Oracle interface programs using PL/I and Oracle supplied assembler routines for the Air- Force Continental Search and Rescue Operations.

• Wrote accounts payable/receivable and patient profile software (in dbase II).
