Construction site supervision for projects in a variety of states and Canadian provinces. Capital projects experience involving production well field construction, river intake systems, filter press installation and start-up, treatment plant construction and modifications. Remediation Site on site supervision for CERCLA sites, State Superfund sites, open water spill response and groundwater remediation projects. Experienced in lab safety and sample collection procedures. Selected Project Accomplishments:
- Project Supervisor for a River Water Treatment Plant Start-up, IPSCO Steel, Inc. Montpelier, IA. Coordinated start-up of clarifier system and belt filter press for treating raw Mississippi River water. Process flow for the system at 2500 gpm.
- Project Supervisor for rebagging and compliance start-up for 900,000 acfm baghouse, Sydney Steel Corporation, Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada.
- Project Supervisor, chemical treatment improvements, IPSCO Steel (Alabama) Inc. for the process water treatment system.
- Conducted engineering treatability studies for process wastewaters at industrial facilities in Alabama, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York and West Virginia.
- Supervised applications of epoxy coating for oil containment, acid containment and protection of a variety of process reactor vessels.
- Project Supervisor for bulk oil storage facility liner installation, testing and certifications at Owens-Brockway Glass in Fulton, NY.
- Project Supervisor for three month dredging project in Montpelier, Iowa. Removal of 35,000 cubic yards of sediment from a private housing development lake. Involved construction and closure of 15 acres of settling impoundments on the site. US Army Corps of Engineers permitted project.
