EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW:

Thirty two years experience in plant engineering and maintenance, equipment design and re-engineering, projects: new and retrofit including construction, start-up and complete project management. Highly skilled in conceptual equipment development for production. Extensive experience in equipment evaluation, equipment problem solving, CAD design, computer modeling, review and development of vendor specification/negotiation..

Equipment engineering for EOH cranes and fabline equipment for Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp. Micromill, responsible for functional and performance specifications, bid evaluations

Specification for aluminum reverbatory barrel furnace and associated equipment.

Process engineering consultant on steel mini-mill CSP type, assisted in writing equipment and contract services performance specifications, evaluation of bidders, studies of coil handling, all major mill crane evaluations, review of river port facility, plant RR system, roll shop layout, and shipping bay study.

PROFESSION EXPERIENCE:

Employment Experience

Responsible for design of preheating equipment including material handling, water cooled, and scrap feeding. Equipment and production modeling for the melting and scrap feeding processes.

Responsible for all plant engineering functions including new and retrofit projects, equipment design, construction engineering, maintenance support engineering, equipment specifications, and purchasing of contract engineering. Project engineer and director for new 100 tph meltshop. In addition, engineering support for equipment/process negotiating, construction management, and technical input and review of various contracts.

Responsible for maintenance of 4500 tpd sintering plant and blast furnace cooling water system. Increased process equipment (excludes environmental control equipment) production uptime from 75% to 95+% through employee involvement, material and equipment upgrades, preventive maintenance, and retrofit engineering. Various maintenance functions for blast furnaces, reline inspections and inspector on new blast furnace.
