Destination Imagination is a international creative problem solving competition. Teams are given a Central Challenge problem that they work many months to solve and an Instant Challenge that they must solve on the day of the competition during a short period of time.. In the year of '01 our team of seven girls in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade set out to complete a problem known as "Anonymously Yours." The object was to portray an anonymous work of art and put together a skit about the creator and creation of that work. In our skit we had to include a technical element and an exact replica of the art. |

After much research, we had a plan. We decided on a family set in Germany after W.W.II when the Berlin Wall was built. Our synopsis of the plot is as follows: |
Our story is about two girls
who get separated from their mother by the building of the Berlin Wall.
In their attempt to cross the wall they meet up with a guard, a guard dog,
and the angel of the Brandenburg Gate. The dog digs a hole under the wall
so the girls can get through. On the other side they are reunited with
their mother and draw a graffiti picture of the angel as a memorial of
their escape.
On the right you can see the angel puppet that was on
the top of our Brandenburg Gate.

Our anonymous work of art was a graffiti painting that had been on the Berlin Wall. We found it after many days of research on the internet. Here is our replica of the painting that we used in our skit. |
