- Shows a person what to do: 2 Nephi 32:5; D&C 28:15 and 39:6
- Bestows fruits of Spirit which include joy, love, peace, patience and gentleness:
Galations 5:22-23; Romans 15:13: D&C 6:23 and 11:12-13
- He gives the gift of the Spirit: Moroni 10:8-17; D&C 46:11-26
- Allows person to speak with authority and boldness: 1 Nephi 10:22; Alma 18:35; Moroni

- He testifies to the truthfulness of God and other gospel principles: John 15:26; D&C

- Helps us discern the thoughts and intents of others: Alma 12:3 and 18;:16, 20, 32, 35;

- Gives truth, knowledge, insight, understanding and enlightenment: John 16:13; 1

- He can inspire a person in what to say in the very hour needed: Luke 12:11-12; D&C

- He can carry truth to the hearts of people and soften them: 1 Nephi 2:15; 2 Nephi 33:1;

- As one of titles implies, He gives comfort: John 14:26; D&C 88:3
