There are 5 children not listed in that census - Julian, John, Charlotte, Louisa and Lucy. It also does not list George Sr. and since his will was done in 1837, I assume he is dead here.
When Elizabeth was 61 she was worth $3,600 in real estate and $600.00 cash.
1850 Census:
Lists Elizabeth as 49 years and HOH. She's listed as being born in Maryland. Living with her are James age 19 and working as a farmer. He's listed as being born in Ohio. Also living there are Alice, 17, Matilda, 16, and William, 14. John her oldest son is show living next door with his wife Mary. For more information on John, click here.
1870 Census:
Lists Elizabeth as living alone, age 76.
1880 Census:
The 1880 Census lists Elizabeth at age 83 and born in Maryland. Her granddaughter Mary, age 17, Ohio born, is listed with her. Both are listed as homemakers.
QUESTION: WHO is this Mary? Where did she come from and why was she living there??
The 1880 Census also lists her son, James, living next door. However, they have his last name listed as ANDREWS and not Anderson. The children listed there are the same as the ones James had.
