The Will of George Anderson
I George Anderson of the County of Morgan in the State of Ohio do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is today. First it is my will that all my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid. Second I give devise (?) and bequeath to my beloved wife, Elizabeth Anderson, in live of her dow in (?) the plantation on which we now reside with all the profits arising from it. Situate (?) in Morgan County State of Ohio containing on hundred and sixty seven acres being the north west quarter of section seventy in Rango. Eleven of township. Eleven to have gone to holds as long as she remains my widow for the support of her uncle the children (?) Third I give and devise to my eldest daughter, Julian, fifteen dollars as her share of my estate. Fourth I give and devise to my eldest son John Anderson a last spring mare colt. Fifth, I give and devise to my second daughter, Charlotte, ten dollars. Sixth, I give and devise to my third daughter, Louisa, ten dollars and Lucy Anderson ten dollars and George Anderson ten dollars and James Anderson ten dollars and Allis Anderson ten dollars and Matilda Anderson ten dollars and William T. Anderson ten dollars and at the death of my beloved wife the land to be equally divided between my four sons John Anderson and George W. Anderson and James Anderson and William T. Anderson by the boys paying Julia Shannon or her heirs forty five dollars and Charlotte and Louisa and Lucy and Sarah and Elizabeth and Allis and Matilda fifty dollars. A price in reason able time after the death of my widow and lastly I hereby constitute and appoint my said wife Elizabeth Anderson James McGreggor to be the executors of this my last will and testament in testimony where of I have here unto let my hand and seal this 8th day of December AD 1838

The State of Ohio for Court of Common Please September Term AD 1838 Morgan County. Thursday September 27th AD 1838 The Last Will and Testament of George Anderson late of Bristol Township deceased was this day brought before the court and proven by the something of James McGreggor and Isaac Whitehouse the two Something being witnesses where to and appearing to the satisfaction of the court said George Anderson at the time of executing said will was of full age and of Sound mind and memory and not under any strain and that they subscribe the said will as witness in his presence and at his request it is therefore ordered that the said will and the proof therein be recorded.
