THREE LITTLE DUCKS THAT I ONCE KNEW

Thanks for stopping by the Baby's Room. I am done with the painting and I think that the room turned out so nice! The theme is  "Three Little Ducks That I Once Knew" (from the nursery rhyme.) Take a look at the progression and finish of the room by clicking HERE. I wish I had started taking the photos before we did the main blue/white painting and hole filling because this room was a mess.  I just love the Duckie theme. If you haven't yet checked out other areas of baby things, you'll find a link at the bottom of the page.

The crib set was bought off of Ebay. It is  brand new and I got it for a great deal! It took me forever to find this one and after what seems an eternity of "duck hunting"  I have finally found the one I wanted! I found a lot of the other pieces and parts to this room on ebay and I've taken photos of each piece click HERE to view those. Everything I bought of course was brand new. I just couldn't find the things I wanted in local area stores!

5-20-05: Hello everyone and thanks for reading about the progress of "The Monster Child." That's what I now refer to our baby due the fact that he's almost ten pounds!! If you didn't know by now the baby is to be delivered by "C" Section on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 @ 7:45AM. I'm a little nervous but I figure if my sister has done it three times I can at least do it once. But let it be known, that there will be no more babies. This was just too much for me. So there will be no reason for us to attend our Lamaze classes and I guess the hypnotherapy was a big waste of money other than to keep me from getting scared of the Spinal they will do to numb me. Please make sure you check out our SHOWER photos and our Ultra Sound Photos as well which you can find at the bottom of the page.

5-5-05: Today is MAY 5th and I am SO glad it's finally MAY!!! I could have this baby at any time. As of Wed, May 4th I am 36 weeks along. The baby is still kicking hard but a little less movement has been noticed.  The countdown is now 29 days!!!

I believe the nursery is fully ready. My bag is packed, and I'm fully ready myself.  We have our Lamaze class the 21-22nd weekend. I finish my hypnotherapy tomorrow and it's been a great class! I LOVE IT! I'm so much more relaxed and calm.

This has been a slightly unpleasant experience for me this time around.  A lot of little things have been very uncomfortable for me compared to when I had Jordan. The carpal tunnel is very bad, sleeping since the 6 and 1/2 month mark has been horrible. Although I finally switched to sleeping in the reclining couch in the downstairs living room and have found that I only wake up once or twice a night now. Compared to every hour in my bed.  Not only does it help with the small amount of back pain I've had, but I no longer have to wear those arm braces for Carpal every night. Plus I get to sleep on my back, which was something I could not do in bed due to the doctor saying it limits blood flood to the baby on your back. I'm also having a lot of vaginal pain and I think it helps elevates that as well.

4-19-05: The baby, as of Tuesday, April 19th is around 5.5 lbs. This could be a big baby boy! I've only gained 16 lbs and I'm thrilled about that. I'm eating very healthy for us both.

All I know is I am SO READY to have this child. He has turned and is head down and ready to come into this world.  I am already have a few Braxton Hicks contractions and Omar keeps freaking out. I keep on telling him it's "False Labor" but he freaks anyway. I do not want to use drugs during labor and even though I have Omar being in the labor room I have a good Christian friend who is my coach and she will be my pain helper!

I'm hoping I go early but not too early as I want to be sure he's "thoroughly cooked" before he comes out.  I say "BRING IT ON!" and let's get this show on the road!

We had our first shower on April 16th and it was a lot of fun. It was given by some of Omar's friends/co-workers and there was a houseful of Honda people there. We received a lot of very very nice items and the baby's closet is filling up fast! I've bought new things off of Ebay (of course) as well. I think I know what we will be bringing him home in and what he'll wear his first day in church! I just love going into his room and looking around at all his "baby things".

We had our second shower April 30th given to us by Cherie Pugh and Alexa McDaniel and it was great!!! It was done at the Church and we had a lot of fun.

I enjoyed both showers so much.

Keep checking back for more updated photos as I will be doing a little bit each day.
