CROOKSVILLE -- Viola E.
Thomas, 94, of 13863 Second St., Crooksville, (Rosefarm),
went to be with the Lord at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at
Genesis Hospice, Morrison House, after an extended illness.
Born July 9, 1910, in Rosefarm, she had been a clerk at
Colbert's Grocery in Rosefarm, a member of Rosefarm Church of
Christ and the Philathea Class.
Surviving are daughters and son-in-law, Dona J. White of
Crooksville and Carol and Dean Harris of St. Louisville;
grandchildren, Terri and Craig Caton, Lisa and Chuck Snider, Jan
and Dean Smith, Chris and Staci White, Don and Beatrix Harris,
Debra and Bill Duff and Dean Mitchell Harris; and
great-grandchildren, Josh and Elizabeth Caton, Kevin and Linda
Caton, Kristen and Nathan Filkins, Jon Snider and Courtney
Walker, Jessica Snider, Clay and Maggie White, Eleanor and Aleah
Triterer, Tara and Tiffany Ice and Tera and Tricia Duff.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Thomas,
who died in April 11, 1972; a daughter, Debra Thomas; her
parents, Joseph and Nellie Dobbs Walsh; two sisters, Elizabeth
Colbert and Maude McIntyre; a brother, Earl Walsh; and a
great-granddaughter, Jena Lynn Snider.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3,
at the Rosefarm Church of Christ, 8561 McKinley St.,
Crooksville.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at the
church, with Dean Harris and Pastor Larry Taylor officiating.
Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.

Christ, c/o Billy Colbert, 12875 Township Road 8, Crooksville,
OH 43731. Envelopes will be available at the church during
visitation.
