John McIntyre, 83 of Rose Farm, died last night at an Athens Hospital after an illness of 10 months resulting from a stroke.
A coal miner and farmer by occupation, Mr. McIntyre had resided for the past 21 years at Rose Farm. He currently made his home in Murray City.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William Smith, of near New Lexington; six sons, Ralph of New Lexington, William of Phoenix, and George, Frank, Charles and Phillip all of near Crooksville; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
The body will be taken to the Cannon & Cannon funeral home at Crooksville tomorrow night from the Cannon and Cannon funeral home in Roseville.
Funeral services will be held at the Crooksville funeral home at 2:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon with Rev. John McDonald of the Rose Farm Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Crooksville.
