In my opinion this reunion was fun, entertaining and a great success! It was a GREAT day weather wise and we had lots of people there. There were a few that didn't make it and I'm going to get after them about that, but the turn out wasn't bad. We really like to see everyone there so you can at least visit with your relatives (near and far) for at least one day out of the year. There was good food, good stories and good times had by all.

Everyone really went all out for the Auction this year. It seems everyone also enjoyed the Getting To Know You stories about everyone else. Some of you even asked me to do it again next year as now they can actually think of stories to tell! Wonderful! I will! You can send your stories in at ANY time during this year! I'd love to get a whole bunch of them. It's nice to share and hear stories from the past. You can email them to me here or you can snail mail them to me.

There weren't a lot of kids there this year, but hopefully there will be next year because I plan on having more kids activities. I was planning on doing a balloon pop for the kids but everyone left so quickly after the auction that there wasn't time. I did manage to get the Fishing Game up and running and the kids loved that but I had LOADS of little toys and candies left over that I guess we'll try and use next year. Some of you didn't think there would be anything to do for the kids, but we had a soccer ball, football, three frisbees, some golf balls and putter, (I had even brought a volleyball and net but we weren't allowed to put it up), the fishing game, egg toss (that a lot of you missed out on because you left too early!! You missed out on seeing Omar and Amber go for the gold on that one!), and the balloon pop.

I had also brought along some cards to get some euchre games started up. It seems everyone was in a hurry to get home and it's a shame that we can't stop for one day and enjoy each other while we still have one another here. I would sure like to see everyone stay a bit longer after the auction or the food is done. 

After most people left, I still had a big container of about 3 dozen eggs. Half were boiled, half weren't. We just started throwing them for fun and the fun took on a new meaning when Amber Short nailed Omar Herbon right in the stomach with a raw one!! The war was on! If you check out the photo's of this year's reunion you'll see them running and throwing! It was pretty funny. Omar did manage to get her back by rubbing yolk on her face.

The kids loved the fishing game but Griffen got a little tense when he couldn't use HIS (toy) fishing pole to "fish". So we let him. It was cute to watch. Bianca got into as well. And Jack made it over just in time before they had to leave. We'll try the fishing again next year.

It was really nice to see everyone, and I am looking forward to this years reunion. This year we should have three new babies to love! I really hope to see you there!
