Robert married a Mary last name unknown (b. abt. 1780 VA. d. bet. 1850-1860)
The 1850 Census for Oh., Jefferson CO., Salem Twp has her living with Jacob (age
50) and Elizabeth McCombs (age 45), Elizabeth Savage (age 21), James Hamilton
(age 12), Alice Hamilton (age 8) and Margaret Hamilton (age 7) Mary Savage (age
70).
I'm pretty sure Robert's wife was the Mary listed in the 1850
Census.
Elizabeth McCombs, listed above in the 1850 census, is Robert's (1) and
Mary's daughter. Catherine, also Robert (2) and Mary's daughter, married William Hamilton (living nearby)
explains why there are small Hamiltons living in this house in the 1850 census. Elizabeth Savage (21) is
probably the daughter of James Savage, as she is found to be living with James
