Walter's Chapel Cemetery
Lonoke County, Arkansas

Walter's Chapel Cemetery is located north of Carlisle. From I-40 at Carlisle go 4.3 miles North on Arkansas 13. When the highway turns left you go straight on Walter's Chapel Road. A sign there indicates that Zion Baptist Church is .9 mile ahead. Proceed on the paved Walter's Chapel Road past the Zion Church. The pavement ends at the next fork in the road. Follow Walter's Chapel Road which veers to the right. Continue on Walter's Chapel Road approximately two miles. The Cemetery is at the corner of Walter's Chapel Road and Red Oak Ranch Road.

The older large cemetery has tombstones dating back until 1859. Newer portions of the cemetery are across the road from the older cemetery. The larger one rests on the location of the former Walter's Chapel Schoolhouse and the smaller ones rests on the location of the former Walter's Chapel Methodist Church. A perpetual care funds exists for the maintenance of Walter's Chapel Cemetery.
