The Trinity College Fire Fighting Home Robot ContestA great contest were the objective is to build a fully autonomous (no remote control, but can be dead-reckoning) robot that can explore a maze (a model house floor), find a candle and put it out.

Mondo-TronicsMondo-Tronics (also known as the robot store) has several    different kits, etc. for robotics.  I got the base for my Rug Warior here and a few sensors for D.E.A.R.2.

Technological ArtsTechnological Arts is a company in Canada that sells a  wonderful family of boards, that use the HC11, called ADAPT-11.  This board I used on Gandalf.

RS&TA great magazine on true robots.

Karl LuntKarl Lunt has lots of info on HC11's, HC12's and also has PCBUG11a which is a modified version of PCBUG11 yet runs on faster computers (and is still free to download).

MouserMouser is a company that sells tons of electronic parts for dirt cheap.  There is also no min. order.

Tower HobbiesThis company sells remote airplanes, cars, etc. but they also sell individual parts such as servo motors, tires, and several others that can be used on a robot.

AcronameThis company sell several useful parts including the Sharp GP2D12 IR detector used on Gandalf.
