Teacher/Director Amy Waltz has a BA in Elementary Education with a science minor, graduate courses and training in early childhood education, and has run her licensed family child care since 1988. Her expertise in childcare includes:

• Developing theme related preschool curriculum reflecting cultural diversity

• Difficult behaviors management
• Encouraging creativity through art, music, dance and puppetry
• Story telling, encouraging communication and early literacy skills
• Incorporating discovery of nature and science into the curriculum
• Leadership skills and day care administration

Assistant Teachers Robbin and Darlene are licensed by Office for Child Care Services, have extensive training and experience in working with children. They have been helping at Waltzing Bear over a year. Robbin has a degree in Elementary Education and Darlene has raised four children.
