I adopted my dog from the CACC on July 2001. We just celebrated her third year in our family. She is a Jindo mix. Tan and white. She is sweet, lovable and playful. Asia lives with me and my family in an apartment in NY. She is Five(5) years old. She loves dog movies.For example, 101 Dalmations animated and non animated. |

| Jindos are orginally from Jindo Island in Southwest Korea. They have been here in the US since mid 1980's. They are medium size dogs. They are sporting/hunting dogs. They are related to Spitz. They can weight from 20-50 lbs. They are extremely loyal, affectionate, independant, proud, intellegent, good sense of direction and is capable returning home from traveling several hudred miles away. They specialize in hunting deers, wild boar, rabbits, raccoon, badgers, mices and rats.They can recognize and remember over 30,000 different scents. Jindos love to jump and run. They can run up to 35 mph. Jindos have great sense of direction that they never get lost. Jindos are not for everyone. Even expierienced dog handlers may find this dog breed to hard to handle. They are primative dogs and have wild instincts. Here are some helpful hints for handling this type of breed: 1) Attend dog obidence school with your dog. 2) *Neuter or spay your dog before it reaches six(6) months *if not breeding*. 3) Try to keep one Jindo per family because the need all the love and care and attention. |

-2. The cost of food and vet visits.
-3. Do you own or rent a house or an apartment?
-4. Landlords permission letter or lease.
-5. Do you have time to train a pet?
-6. Do you hve space in your home?
-7. Do you want a male or female?
-8. Should you spay or neuter your pet?
