*Chapter Seven* "Starting Over"

Kristin awoke a few hours later to the sound of "Can you Dig It?", by the Monkees, coming from the next room. Her stomach suddenly grumbled loudly, startling her. She decided to venture down to the kitchen, in hopes of finding food of any kind, preferably something sweet. She jumped when she heard the door next to hers creak open.

"Didn't mean to startle you," Ashleigh's mellow voice laughed as Kristin spun around.

"It's ok," Kristing smiled. "I was just gonna go see what food is in the house."

"Ah, good idea. Mind if I follow?" Ashleigh laughed.

"Not at all. We'll just hope there's enough!" She replied, smiling.

"Then let us go!" Ashleigh laughed, walking towards the stairs while pointing her hand out towards them. Together they walked out of the darkness of the hallway down to the bright light of downstairs.
