I yawned boredly as I stepped onto the huge plane after my father. We were off to Flordia to have the time of our lives. Yeah, right. My dad was going there for business, so therefore I had the room to myself. ::sigh:: Boredom, what fun. It always happens like this- my sister and mom go off to some fancy place - probably in Europe - I'm stuck with my dad. Oh well, that's life, right?
I wandered down the aisle, looking for my seat. First class, impressive. This is a first. I settled into a comfy black seat, momentarily closing my eyes. I opened them when I heard someone say my name.
"Yah, Dad?" I asked, turning around to face him.
"You're ok up there, right?" he asked.
"I'm 18, dad, I can handle it." I snapped.
"Don't snap at me, young lady," he said, glaring at me. I turned around in my seat, rolling my eyes. I pulled out my discman, and opened it to check what I had in there. Creed? What the... what happened to my Coppertree CD? Then I realized what it was.
Turning back to my father, I said, "Thanks for the birthday gift dad. It's only 3 months late this time, impressive! Now how old am I this time?"
"16?" he asked.
"Wrong again," I sighed. "I turned 18."
"Then why didn't you get your ass out of the house?" he snapped. I shrugged and turned around. I settled into the seat and let the intense music fill my soul.
Suddenly, I felt someone shaking me as the ending of "faceless man" faded away. "What?" I snapped gently, resenting being woken from my slumber. My shimmering blue eyes met a pair of deep chocolate eyes.
