It took about two or three weeks, but with Brian, Nick, Kevin, and Miranda's help, Jessica managed to get over her depression- or most of it. She, or anyone else for that matter, did not like the fact Pat completely ignored her. But, who cares, right? Just get over him, and move on. Even though she never really had him in the first place.
AJ, Howie, and Nick got signed to a small independent record label in Orlando, and had met their managers- Donna and Johnny Wright, former managers of NKOTB. But they were looking for some new people, to complete the band.
April 20, 1993:
Jess and Brian were over at her house, just hanging out pretty much. When the phone rang, Jess immediately picked it up. "Hello?" she asked.
"This is Kevin, is Brian there?" Kevin asked.
"Of course, Kevvy. One sec," Jess said, handing the phone over to Brian.
"Hey cuz. What's up?" Brian asked.
"Nick called me, well this house, today. He said that his managers suggested adding some more talent into the group. He wants both of us to join. I told him I would call you here. He wants to meet us at about 2 today, at his house." Kevin explained.
"WOW!" Brian exclaimed. "Really?"
"Of course!" Kevin laughed. "Would I lie to you?"
"No. I cna't believe it!" Brian laughed giddily.
"Well, believe it. We've got 10 minutes to meet him. Well, you guys are next door so it doesn't matter. Umm, I think I'll shut up now." Kev said.
"Kevin? Rambling? You MUST be excited!" Brian laughed.
"Duh, cuz!" Kevin laughed. "Bye."
"Bye!" Brian said, hanging up. As soon as he put down the phone, he picked Jess up in his arms and twirled her around, laughing.
"Brian!" she squealed. "What are you doing? Why are you so excited?"
"Nick called our house. He wants both of us to join the band!" Brian laughed. Jess squealed in delight.
"Yea! I knew it, I knew it!" she giggled. Brian laughed. He kissed her on the cheek.
"Let's go!" he said, grabbing Jess's hand. She smiled up at him. They walked out to Nick's backyard.
"Frick! Freak!" Nick called out, running over to them.
"FRACK!" they(Brian and Jess) cried together.
"Aww. isn't that sweet?" a raspy voice said from behind them. Brian and Jess quickly spun around. "I'm AJ. Nice to meet you," he said, looking over first at Brian, then at Jess.
"I'm Brian," Brian said.
"And I'm Jessica!" Jess smiled.
"Freak!" Brian said as she said her name.
"I take it Freak is your nickname?" AJ asked her.
"OF course!" She giggled. AJ just smiled at her.
"I'm Howie," the short Latino said, walking over to Brian and Jess.
"Hi," Brian and I chorused together.
"Where's Kev?" Nick asked.
"Right here," Kevin's deep voice said from in back of Nick. Nick jumped.
"Kevvy!" Jess squealed, running to him to hug him. "I haven't seen you in awhile!"
"Well, you know. I do gotta spend time with my girlfriend," he smiled.
"Of course!" I laughed. "How is Nadine?"
"She's great." kev smiled.
"Better then Beth?" Jess hinted.
"I know what you're hinting," Kev warned.
"What else?" she laughed. "But answer my question!"
"No. It's my private life." Kevin laughed.
"No, it's your private sex life!" Jess laughed. Kevin shook his head.
"Anyway, I'm Kevin." he said, looking at AJ and Howie.
"I'm Howie, and this guy staring at Jess is AJ," Howie introduced. AJ swatted Howie on the back of the head as Jess slowly spun around to face AJ.
