It all began with a kiss, a kiss that changed their lives forever.

Today had been the worst Valentine's Day Howie had ever expirenced. He sat alone in his dark house, staring into the flame of the lone candle sitting on his dining room table.

All of the guys were out with their loved ones, but he, as always, had no one. Sighing, he stood up to walk over to the window, glancing out at the stars. He closed his eyes and wished upon the brightest star, feeling a tear fall down his cheek.

A knock at the door startled him. Quickly, he walked to go answer it. There stood Brian, a sad smile upon his face. "I knew you were alone," he murmured, "And so was I, so," he murmured, pausing to look at the ground. Howie smiled gently and led his bandmate into the house.

They sat on the couch and talked amicably, laughing and joking. They began telling stories of what they would do for their boyfriends, had they one.

"A slow, sensous kiss would be the perfect gift," Howie murmured, closing his eyes briefly, a small smile playing on his handsome features. They opened again when he felt Brian's lips lightly brush against his. Howie let out a soft sigh and ran his tongue over Brian's succulent lips before capturing them. Slowly their kiss deepened as their tongues carressed each other gently. They pulled apart, breathless from the short but intense kiss.

Howie smiled and ran his thumb over Brian's cheek. "I'll go order us some pizza, k?" Brian nodded. Howie wandered to the kitchen and made the pizza order then called another place. "I know this is last minute, Jan, but I need something fit for a king."

"Anything for you, D," Jan laughed. "I've got just the thing."

"Thanks so much, hun. Love ya." He laughed.

"Love ya too, goofball. Now go get back to that king of yours," she teased. Howie rolled his eyes.

"Yes, master," he groaned. "Thanks again." He hung up the phone and leaned in the doorframe, watching Brian, a smile lighting up his dark features.

Brian turned around, feeling Howie's stare. "Get out here, sexy," he laughed. Howie strutted out, humming "i'm too sexy", before falling onto the couch with his head in Brian's lap.

"Hi," he grinned. Brian laughed and played with Howie's long hair as Howie began talking about this new song he had written. Brian smiled as Howie's eyes glowed with pride. He bent down and kissed him on the forehead.

"What was that for?" Howie asked, raising his eyebrow. "Not that I minded...."

"For being so darn cute," Brian laughed.

"Awww," Howie blushed. The doorbell rang at that moment. Howie jumped up and grabbed a few bills from the table before running to the door.
