What I found out once I reached here, was that this place is a "must-go" for all Malaysians visiting Melaka.This humble Chendol stall has been here for quite some time.Everybody flocks to this place just for a bowl or two of Chendol.Believe me, this place isn't named "Chendol Famous" for nothing.

A bowl of "Durian Chendol" is RM3.If you haven't been here before, here's what you are supposed to do. First, go into the main building and queue up at the counter to your left.This is where you buy coupons for the chendol.Once you have purchased the coupon(s), go out of the building towards the tiny stall in front. That's where you collect your chendol.So, unless you have got a coupon with you, don't queue up at the stall first.You might only feel embarassed for standing there, waiting fruitlessly.

What is "Durian Chendol"?Actually meant to be a form of sweet refreshment, it is made up of shredded ice with red bean and a generous amount of durian topping.Yum!Just describing it makes me want to have a bowl.Wish I was in Melaka right now.

After eating, you can go back into the main building for a spot of shopping.Or vice versa.Everyone comes here to shop for Tan Kim Hock products.Think 'dodol', 'cincalok', dried pickles, coconut or durian flavoured soft cake.This is the place to go for the best of this lot.You can buy it in packets or in bulk.The price can be considered reasonable although not really cheap.You'll find this place packed full of people.If you are not sure whether or not you will like the taste of certain products, ask any of the assistants for a sample.There are a handful of them around the place.
