Memorials to our friends
Stan was once described by a friend as "tyrannical, enormously loving, utterly honest, terribly impatient, and very generous."

That describes this wonderful man to a tee, and he is deeply missed by his friends, many of whom still feel his presence strongly from time to time admonishing them to ease up on themselves.

Stan moved to Santa Fé after the death of his lover to try to find peace of mind and a life for himself away from the painful memory of his partner’s death.

In Santa Fé, Stan worked for New Vistas, a local non-profit human service agency serving people with various disabilities. People at New Vistas loved and appreciated Stan, and, as his health progressively worsened, the agency reduced his hours and responsibilities so that Stan could continue working.

Stan also created "The New Age Networking Journal", one of the first journals to focus on New Age alternative services in Northern New Mexico. Stan was the president and founder of Waldahl Productions, which coordinated New Age events and flyer distribution.

The cheery message on Stan’s answering machine for his business always admonished callers to: "Have whatever kind of day you want". Perhaps more than any other wonderful thing that there was about Stan, we miss hearing that message!

Stan is quoted as saying:
"Someone once asked me if I was scared of dying. I said leaving this physical body I don’t have to deal with this disease anymore, ...with politics, ..or with all the mundane things we deal with every day.
Why shouldn’t I be happy?"
