The pictures below are either Ebay pictures or pictures that have been emailed to me by people I bought these dolls from. They are for the sole purpose of showing how they looked prior to me getting them. Therefore some dolls were already restored to their former glory by previous owners. I had fun restoring some of these dolls my self and/or having other friends help me in bringing them back to life!
All of their AFTER pictures are in each of the links to my collection (ie. US Girls and Boys and Aussie Girls).

Chantelle was given to me by a great co-worker at my child care centre that I worked at whilst in Tasmania. It was her doll as a young girl and I wanted to restore her and give her back but she insisted I keep her as I do love my child dolls. What a great girl. She was quite grubby and needed her hair washed and put into ponies and her fringe set back down. Aussie Girl.

Farrah (named after Farrah Fawcett with her wild blonde hair) was an op shop find in Tasmania also. She cost me approximately $2.00. She was hiding under some other dolls and I pulled her out and gave her a bath. Her hair was very matted and looked like Bob Marley on a bad day. It took a lot of teasing out with my fingers in warm water and a lot of conditioner to get the knots out and then I've left her with loose curls deciding not to set her hair in rollers yet. I might not decide to, she looks pretty. Aussie Girl.

Patricia came to me from Patricia (Ebay), who's website is listed in my links section. She needed no work done as she was just gorgeous but as her hair got slightly squashed during postage a friend of mine (Liene) helped to redo her curls. She would have to be one of my favourite dolls. Just love those ringlets. She is named after the previous owner. Aussie Girl. |

Melissa came to me from a lady called Lyn from Perth (Sold.com.au). All I did was wash her hair, re-twirl her curls using my fingers and she turned out beautiful. She has had a little length cut off prior to her arrival but still looks great. She kind of looks like Shirley Temple. She is named after my work assistant's daughter. Aussie Girl |

Tiana came to me from Annette a friend and fellow my child collector (Ebay). This long brunette was in good condition and I re-combed her hair and gave her a new outfit. I'm thankful I got her when I did as prices for Aussie brunettes have soared on EBay recently. I've kept her hair down as I think it looks best this way. I've always liked the name Tiana so that is why I chose this for her. Aussie Girl. |

Annette also came to me from Annette (Ebay). This long blonde was also in good condition and all I did was wash her hair and as her fringe had been cut shorter I placed a black head band over it so now she looks like Alice in Wonderland :) She has the softest hair and a cute face. I've also kept her hair down straight. She is named after her previous owner. Aussie Girl. |

Anita also came to me from Patricia (Ebay). This long ash blonde was in minty condition. Her skin is so smooth and her hair shiny. I didn't do a thing to her except change her clothes. I have kept the clothes for another girl some day. She is named after my cousin. Aussie Girl. |
|
Tammy came to me from Anne (Ebay). This crimped ash blonde was in good condition. She 'may' have had a slight length trim but unsure of that. She is very pretty and I didn't do anything to her except touch up her makeup slightly and put a different dress on her. Her hair is up in two high piggies in a mid-part style. She is named after a friend from my college. Aussie Girl. |

Matthew came to me from Anne (Ebay). He only needed a slight make up adjustment and he was good as new. I've since changed his clothes for the moment however he is one cute boy. He is named after my cousin. USA Boy. |
|
Brock came to me from Amber (Ebay). His hair was sticking straight up when I got him so I washed his hair and put a stocking down over it as it dried in the sun so his straight hair returned to a normal parting down the middle. He is named after a boy who had red hair at my primary school. USA Boy. |

Michael came to me from a fellow friend collector named Kari (Private Sale). He got some new clothes and his hair was washed and brushed. He was in very good condition with nothing needed to be done to restore him. He is named after Michael Jackson as that is the first name that popped into my head being an African American and from the USA. USA Boy. |

Kari was a Christmas present bought by my boyfriend John for me this Christmas (2003). He bought it from Juliette (my child clubs) on Ebay Australia. She has very minty skin and gorgeous streaks of dark blonde in her ash blonde hair. I have since dressed her in a yellow sleeper outfit (given to me from my brother Troy as a Christmas present also) which suits her well. I didn't need to do her up at all as she was clean and well cared for. I named her after a friend and fellow my child collector Kari in the USA. USA Girl. |

Alyssa came to me from Sarah who saw my website and offered this and the following two dolls. She had very bright makeup on and her hair was a bit untidy but nothing a bit of TLC didn't fix. I toned down her makeup a little, got her side-part and fringe back and she turned out real sweet. I gave her some clothes to wear too. I named her after my second cousin who has reddish hair. USA Girl. |

Liene had flyaway hair and barely no fringe until I washed it and combed it out which took a while. It ended up she had two high curly piggies and a fringe all around. She was then dressed. I borrowed a curling wand off my friend Liene and she helped retouch up her makeup after I washed her. She is named after my fellow collector Liene. (Pronounced Li-en-a). USA Girl. |

Sarah was quite minty and nothing really needed doing to her except adding some clothes and hair ribbons. I named her after the previous owner who gave me this cute doll. USA Girl. |
|
Betty came to me from an Ebayer named Nancy. She had slightly soiled slippers which napisan fixed but she had the mintiest skin imaginable. Her hair still had the original bands and hair ribbons and had never been pulled out I don't think. She has the cutest blue eyes. I didn't even need to wash her she smelled beautiful. I named her after my Nan and she is my favourite girl doll of all. USA Girl. |

Ruby was kindly given to my mum, to pass on to me here in Brisbane, by my cousin Anita. She was used by my mum as a model for her replica MY CHILD clothing (see my links page for her website). It was my cousin's doll when she was little and along with her sister Gemma, all three of us had our own my child to play with as kids. It was stored away and unfortunately mice or insects had eaten around her nose but I ended up fixing it by putting the same pale skin that Kelly Murray (my child collector) gave me over the nose button and hey presto good as new (see pics of this and other dolls on other pages of their final looks). I also touched up her makeup and brushed down her fringe. She is a high two piggies girl with fringe all around. I kept the name that seemed to suit her that my mum gave her. USA Girl.

Debbie was given to me by my fellow collector Debbie. She introduced me again to these dolls and thanks for that :) She has blonde hair like Debbie so I called her after her previous mummy. She needed nothing doing to her as Debbie had done all the hard work herself. I simply added an original outfit I had laying around and she seemed to suit pink so on went the pink sleeper. USA Girl. |

Mikayla came to me by way of Anne at Ebay and at the my child groups at yahoo. She had her hair down when she arrived so I put it back into it's mid-length piggies again and added a touch of colour to her cheeks and lips. She turned out very sweet. At first I didn't have many outfits so I put her in a little orphan Annie type get-up with slippers, socks and overalls plus a hat but as my liking for original outfits progressed I had her dressed in a pink ducky dress which looks so beautiful on her. I named her after my real life second cousin Mikayla, older sister of Alyssa. USA Girl.
