I'm Bucky. I'm the National Rodent of Canada, and Val's Site Mascot.

It was mainly because of my ancestors that Canada got settled. If those idiots had gotten haircuts or
done something else to make their fur unattractive, we wouldn't have to put up with all these damned
humans, today. Now, I have to work for a living, because in my natural habitat I'm considered a pest!

For those of you who aren't familiar with us, we construct our homes in creeks and streams, after we
build a dam of sticks and mud. We consider ourselves to be environmentalists, because we conserve
water - the humans however, consider us pests, because we flood farmlands, and cut down too many
trees.

I, on the other hand live in a park, just down the road from Val. I often play with Nicky, who for some
reason considers it to be great fun to chase me through the mud on the creek bank - which doesn't seem
to make Val very happy - so that's why I chose to accept her offer to be her site mascot.

The pictures you see below are where I live.

This is one of my favorite vacationing spot on the way to Fort McMurray.

Sometimes ice will still be around during the spring when I want to vacation. So I make sure I pack my skiis for just an occasion.

And this is my favorite eating place. Can you tell I have been hungry lately? LOL!

Please feel free to come back and see me anytime.

Bucky
