December 6, 2000

      A LIRR employee, working on the tracks parallel to Sunrise Highway in Wantagh, NY, called in a truck fire on
      December 6, 2000 at approximately 1:55 am.  The fire was from a tow truck parked on the westbound side of
      Sunrise Highway, across from the Hassett Lincoln Mercury Car Dealership.  Wantagh FD engine 691 was first
      on the scene and quickly extinguished the fire which had engulfed the tow truck.  No injuries were reported and
      1st Asst Chief Jimmy Johnston was in charge of fire operations.
