The Wantagh Fire District
Protecting The Community 

The Wantagh Fire District, Nassau County, New York is the administrative arm of the Wantagh Fire Department.  Its board is composed of five members who are elected by the residence of the Wantagh Fire District for a five year term.

The fire district provides emergency medical service and fire protection to the resident of the Wantagh Fire District.  In addition to residence and business in the district it also includes a number of major highways and the Long Island Railroad.

The fire district also provides fire protection and emergency services to  Jones Beach State Park and the Town of Oyster Bay's Tobay Beach on a contractual basis.

There are five fire stations in the district in addition to an Apparatus Maintenance Building, Training Facility/Chief's office's and a Fire District Administration Office/Communications Center.  These building makeup the physical facilities of the fire district.

Station Two, Wantagh Avenue (north of North Jerusalem Road)
Station Three, Neptune and Bayview Avenues, Seaford Harbor
Station Four, Alken Avenue (North of Jerusalem Avenue)
Station Five, Merrick Road and Arby Court
Apparatus Maintenance Building, Neptune and Bayview Avenues, Seaford Harbor
Training Facility/Chiefs’ Office, Jerusalem Avenue and Holiday Park Drive
District Administration/Communication Center, Austin Avenue and Wantagh Avenue.
