Game 1 Comments:

If I were to be honest about how I really felt about game 1, I would say that we are a much better basketball team than what we showed. However, we will chalk that up to the fact that it was our first game of the season. I was pleased with the overall hustle we showed and the Shockers impressed me with their speed, but we must be smarter and more aware of what is happening in the game. So, in essence, we played hard, played together but must play smarter.

Game 2 Comments:

It made me feel good to watch our team continue to hustle and play hard even though they had to be tired from playing two games. If that effort continues all season, we will be successful. But with saying that, we must never take security in a win. Often times it is possible to win without being at the top of our game. If the Shockers bring their “A” game they will be a force to be reckoned with. I would say we have work to do but am proud of our overall performance because we played hard, played together, but still could be smarter. Playing smart means running our offensive sets and staying focused on each possession like it was the last of the game. Good Job Shockers!
