[Wed Aug 01 15:54:30 2007] : Server Administrator-> You have connected to an OpenRPG server, version '1.7.0'.
You may encounter adult conversations, concepts and material on this server. If you're under the age of consent, get out now. My arse is now officially covered... parents and watchdogs, take responsibility for your own damn kids, 'cos I sure as hell won't.
Enjoy the freedom of communication with the OpenRPG Veav I message board. There is one other OpenRPG Veav server, OpenSRPW Veav I, for persistent Shadowrun. Any other servers are not ours. OpenRPG Veav I does not condone or support piracy or intellectual property theft.
This is a friendly server. I don't much care what you do, so long as you do it in a civilized manner. This means you can discuss anything you like and say anything you like, using whatever words you choose - so long as you aren't being an asshole.
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a Grue.
The feast was a great one, many jokes as well as insults hurled around the table. While it was odd that the bearded old man was silent along with his guards throughout the meal, Arthur passes it off as Merlin concentrating on his sorcery as usual. |
You and your companions are shown to a large tent, though not as big as King Arthur's it easily fits in 6 people. |
Inside, there are 6 makeshift cots, along with a small stove, though tonight the air is unusually warm. |
The maids curtsy, and leave the rest of you. |
Despite the late hour, a bunch of young squires look at the zoid with awe, many of them climbing onto the legs. |
One of the kids, not as agile at the others slips off the knee portion, cracking his head against the metal leg. |
He tumbles to the ground like a limp ragdoll. |
The kid is bleeding badly from a crack in his skull, his blood making an ever larger pool on the ground. |
His pulse is weak. |
The squires squeak like frightened mice, seeing their companion fall, and one startled one at Valkyria's scolding, slips off the leg as well. |
Luckily, this one seems to be ok, landing on all fours |
At the tent. |
The scene is mostly clear, except for Valkyria and the lad with the bleeding skull. |
By now, a crowd has started to gather, knights half-dressed and rubbing their eyes sleepily as the squires bring them. |
The boy stirs, the only sign of his injury the blood matted in his hair and ground. |
He stands up startled, as he's so close to one of the new arrivals and bows hastily. |
The crowd gives a stunned moment of silence |
Then start to applaud. |
The good natured murmuring and patting backs, the knights enclose on the group. |
A horn sounds off in the distance, breaking the general party. |
Three short blasts |
The troops hastily erect large metal shields over the tents, some of the men crawling under the shields. |
General shouting ensues, but it seems like an organized chaos and Bedeviere nods as he watches his men. |
As the cloud gets closer, an interesting effect greets your eyes. The rain falling looks like lines of red fire streaking through the sky, as small explosions impact from where bigger lava hits. |
The pattering is not like any rain you've heard, its more of a hissing and exploding noise as it nears. |
The cloud gets directly overhead, and the lava just starts to splatter onto the camp. |
It bounces off the barrier harmlessly and Arthur raises his sword high, it glowing a fierce white versus the red in the sky. |
The rain lessens, but instead of a downpour, its more of a drizzle |
You hear some screaming from the camp, seems like Arthur didn't get all of it. |
The cloud dissappates rapidly though, and Arthur kneels down, panting. |
Still, the yelling coming from the outskirts of the camp is disturbing |
You can also hear Bedeviere's muffled cursing. |
As you near the outskirts, the men have drawn up a line near the top of the hill |
as the Gorgon slowly plods up it. |

While the sky is cloud less now, a bright flash of light strikes the ground, breaking the knight statues. Its accompanied by a thundering noise |
The smoke and rubble cloud obscure most of your view but it slowly settles, revealing... |
