The Petworth Clinic makes available low cost spay/neuter/medication fees for alley cats.
Cats can be taken to the low cost clinic held every second and fourth Sunday at the Petworth Animal Hospital.
Dr. Thornberg performs the surgery and Metro Ferals provides support and vaccine materials.

The Washington Animal Rescue League
The League's Medical Center provides low cost care to over 3,000 pets of
low-income owners each year. They offer a low-income rate of $25 to $45,
depending on the weight of the animal. Call them for more information.

FOA as assumed a leadership role in advocating low-cost spaying and
altering as the most effective means of preventing the
births of unwanted dogs and cats, and their subsequent
abandonment, suffering and mass killing. Maintains a membership of 1,000
veterinarians to help avoid the unnecessarily high costs of spaying and altering animals.

SPAY/USA is a nationwide network of people working together to provide affordable spay/neuter programs.
Their goal is to reduce the number of unwanted cats and dogs and to stop the suffering.
SPAY/USA is a national referral service for affordable spay/neuter services. People who need assistance
spaying and neutering their pets call our toll-free number, 1-800-248-SPAY. They will be referred to a
veterinarian or program in their area that provides affordable spay/neuter services. For some, affordable
prices are an incentive to spay or neuter a pet. Callers are mailed a referral slip/certificate to redeem the low
spay/neuter rate.
