In this WWII game it's your mission to infiltrate German occupied territory with your squad of military misfits. The missions are set in 1942-45 France, North Africa, Norway and other war-ravaged locations. The game plays amazingly like Hidden & Dangerous though it's only a low-budget title.
The concept that makes GTA what it is, is now in 3D in this release. The game puts you in the shoes of a vicious, albeit novice, criminal. Traditionally, your missions center on the gangs inhabiting the city - each one always has jobs for you to perform, and your prosperity as a criminal depends on your ability to manipulate each gang. Ice a few members of one gang, and you'll gain its rival's favor. Jobs range anywhere from running dope and taking out rivals to sabotage and kidnapping. Strictly for the matured.
Bomberman pits you against 9 opponents, human or computer, in the ultimate frag-fest. For the uninitiated, you control a cute little guy who carries an endless supply of bombs. The idea is to kill your opponents with these bombs - dropping bombs near them, throwing bombs at them, kicking bombs towards them.
Here is a World War 2 air simulation with a difference. You get to fly model WW2 planes around a house, shooting Mom's best china, attacking the enemy base (in the living room downstairs) or blasting through a window and taking on the enemy in the back garden. The graphics are bold, brightly coloured and really rather good. and there are twenty missions in all. A whole lot of aircraft to fly and a lot of humour ensures that this is not easy to forget
Championship Manager 4 is the latest addition to the long-running series of soccer management sims. Like its predecessors, the interface still consist mainly of text, menus and clickable boxes, which are all easily navigated using a mouse. For most games t his distinct lack of graphics could easily mean its downfall, but as CM4 relies heavily on realism, authenticity and an intuitive interface to attract gamers, it actually works very well. Though CM4 is visually very similar to its successors, it does offer a few new additions as well as some enhancements to the series. The most notable of these additions is the 2D pitch viewpoint, which is only available during matches. Basically, it replaces the classic commentaries with a top-down view of the match, where you can watch your players live up to your selected tactics (or watch them stuff up in style). Other additions and enhancements include a totally skinable interface, a revamped tactics engine and an enhanced contract negotiating system. As for the actual gameplay, little as changed since the last installment. Being the manager still means you're in charge of almost every aspect of your selected club, from hiring staff to setting up team tactics and so forth. And you still have to live up to that pesky club board's expectations.
