The origins of the bloodthirsty alien reavers known as the Dark Eldar are steeped in mystery. Whatever their history, the Dark Eldar attack without warning, wreaking havoc and destruction, then disappearing just as quickly as they appeared. The Dark Eldar are without mercy or remorse and gladly take prisoners back to their domain to perform cruel and twisted experiments upon them. The only thing worse than being attacked by these alien torturers, is to be taken alive. Defeated troops are fated for a lifetime of slavery and indescribable pain as they fulfill the dark and inhuman desires of their wicked captors.

In battle these despicable alien pirates speed across the battlefield on blade and barb covered jetbikes and other anti-gravity transports which tear opponents to pieces in impossibly fast "drive-by" attacks. It is rumored that the Dark Eldar cover their weapons and projectiles with hideous venoms and poisons which rip their victims apart from the inside making the merest scratch from these spike-armored warriors a deadly wound. It is even whispered that these vile beings possess no souls of their own and that captured opponents are drained of their very life-essence which the Dark Eldar consume with relish like fine wine. Evil beyond understanding, the Dark Eldar are a dire threat to every race of the Imperium!
