Cheesy the Clam

Catherine got a dry erase board as one of her birthday gifts earlier during the year, and from the artwork on this board emerged Lewis' creation, Cheesy the Clam.  Cheesy quickly became the kids' mascot, and came with his own club and pledge of allegiance (which required recitation with a spatula in one hand and ones tongue hanging out of the corner of ones mouth).

In April, Alina had to borrow a sewing machine to sew numbers and names onto the hockey jerseys, and somehow, the sewing machine stayed longer than originally planned.  One project led to the next, and a Cheesy the Clam doll emerged one afternoon.

Lewis' grades had improved markedly during the spring semester, so one afternoon, we decided to reward Lewis' spectacular efforts with a new friend.
